 Juan Estruch Rosell (Barcelona, ​​active since the 19th century)

Juan Estruch Rosell was the founder of the Estruch dynasty of guitar makers. He opened his shop in Barcelona in 1880. He was the father of Juan Estruch Sasate, and grandfather of Juan Estruch Pipó. From 1898 to 1922 he built under the name of Hermanos Estruch, and had a series of workshops. In 1898-1801 they were located at Calle Ancha nº50, they moved to Calle Ancha nº30 in 1902.

José Serratosa Blanch (Barcelona, ​​active from (1880 – 1930)

José Serratosa Blanch was born in Tarrasa in the province of Catalonia in 1855. In his youth he was apprenticed to a carpenter, but being studious in nature, he was drawn to the challenges of making flamenco and classical guitars. In 1890, he moved to Barcelona and opened a workshop in which he continued to work for the next forty years. Among his inventions was a guitar that had a detachable neck.
