A used Collings D1A has an Adirondack Spruce (hence the A designation) top and Honduran Mahogany back and sides, and a 1 3/4″ width at the nut.
I purchased this guitar new in May 2007. It is in near mint condition as it has only ever been played at home and has never been used for gigs.
The spruce has aged nicely to a beautiful honey colour. Fretboard wear is light as my guitar playing is split between a Classical and another OM style steel string over its lifetime.
