Fine to Medium grain Spruce Soundboard and bookmatched face grain Maple back and sides. 7 fan braces and 2 bottom chevrons, these closing bars were added by the restorer, Miguel Simplicio. New Bridge and tie block fabricated by Miguel Simplicio in 1937, the completion of the restoration is dated June 20, 1937. Mahogany center strip over the back, Cedar transverse braces This guitar weighs: 1,090 grams=38.44862 0zs=2 lbs. 6 ozs. Only 3 grams heavier the 1906 Vicente Arias we have to offer. 13 repaired cracks on the soundboard and 4 on the back.
This was fabricated after Vicente Arias had won three awards, as it says on the label, (2 Gold Medals and 1 Silver medal) in 1888 in Brussels and Barcelona and 1890 in Madrid.
