Manuel Soto y Solares 1890

very rare Manuel Soto y Solares guitar, priced to sell !

An extremely light guitar with three part spruce top which is in very good condition for a Soto y Solares, only one repaired crack next to the fingerboard. cypress back and sides which are very thin with numerous old repairs but perfectly stable. the guitar is in perfect playing condition. (the instrument was checked a few months ago by a luthier)

650 scale 51mm nut. the guitar plays very easily with good action (which could be lowered even more) very nice warm sound

the tuning machines have been replaced. the frets have also been replaced but the fretboard is original. 5 strut fan bracing (photo)

many details on this guitar resemble the simple Torres guitars of the 19th century, namely the headstock, bridge and rosette design (Soto typicaly had pearl inlays so this one is rare)

a charming instrument for the repertoire of its time like Tarrega etc. for a reasonable price, works well with gut strings. comes in an old fitting case (probably from the 1960s)

the instrument is located in Zürich Switzerland and can be tried, I prefer pick up but can also ship (buyer pays for the shipping)
