For example Stewart Copeland founder and drummer of The Police recorded numerous concerts and many Police hits on his legendary blue Tama Imperialstar set.In summer 2006 the Tama Imperialstar returned. But not just as a new edition of the classic but as a completely new drum set! There is no compromise on features and quality! The 6-ply Imperialstar shells are made from pure 8mm thick poplar wood. This wood is one of the most popular and well-known materials for producing mid-range drums. Its structure provides a warm tone and an excellent full sound. â??Original Sound Edgeâ? adds extra power and openness. To avoid bubbles forming on the cymbals and to improve the sound the Imperialstar foil is fully glued.
