An unusual French romantic guitar bearing the original label: Maret ainé à Paris 1848. Spruce top with repair and special design soundhole, solid flamed maple back (with small repair) and sides, good ebonized neck and peghead with six original pegs, ebony fingerboard and bridge, metal frets, ivory saddle. It is a simple guitar but the maker is interesting. Measurements: – total length 90.3 cm – scale 61 cm – body length 44 cm – upper bout 23.5 cm – middle bout 15.8 cm – lower bout 30 cm – lowest rim 7.7 cm – highest rim 8.2 cm – nut 4.2 cm
